I realize blizzards are still running rampant up north, and I hate to rub this in, but the weather in Florida is finally just where I like it– not too cold, but definitely not scorching hot… with very little humidity, I might add. This window of weather euphoria only lasts like 5 days, so you have to capitalize on it with as much outdoor brunching and girly play dates as time permits. During a routine brunching date in Baldwin Park, aka the most charming region in all of Florida, I couldn’t resist showing off my precious new Barbara Gerwit V-Neck Dress. Full outfit details at the bottom of this post.
If you’ve never heard of Barbara Gerwit, let me do you the favor of introducing her. She designs the most fabulously fun, bright, and affordable resort wear you’ll ever find. From dresses to totes to tunics, you get the same West Palm style of Lilly, quality of Vineyard Vines, and classiness of Ralph Lauren without the equally-as-massive price tag. Hardly any of her designs exceed the $80-$150 range, and the Barbara Gerwit collection consists of hand block printed cotton. Ergo, my dress is so comfy, it just may need to double as sleepwear, which mathematically increases its intrinsic value.
On this bright sunny Sunday filled with stuffed french toast and mimosas, I paired my Barbara Gerwit dress with these awesome black with gold accent “Faye” sunglasses, which cost under $20, from Fantas-Eyes, some staple pearls, and a handful of new nautical accessories from Sloane Ranger.
