Happy October, y’all! Not only is it Breast Cancer Awareness Month (post to come), but it’s also the month of my favorite holiday, Halloween! I just got back from a full-blown romp of fall playtime in Washington DC, so I’m charged up about the seasonal fun and colder weather lurking in the near future. I figure there is no better way to celebrate a holiday than with themed makeup and nail art. Am I right?! Since I work in a very upscale financial firm, I can never get too crazy with any facet of my appearance. Yes, that means no pink hair, dragon lady tattoos, or neon yellow Flo Jo nails unfortunately. To satiate my desire to represent my affinity for the fall season on myself, I designed a conservative yet cheerful Halloween-themed design. I’m not, nor have I ever been, a nail technician, so that should tell you how little skill this particular Halloween nail art design requires.

I used the perfect rich orange color, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Nail Color in Hot Tamale, as a base. For the white accent nail, I used Sinful Colors polish in Snow Me White, which literally goes on like white-out. It took me one coat to get this shade.

Next, on the white accent nail, take any small-tipped device (note: skinny nail art brushes didn’t work well for this; I had to find an alternative) to dab OPI Black Onyx on to make the cute black spots. I used the end of a Latisse product applicator, so anything small, solid, and disposable will work!

Awwwww, this is such a cute manicure! I'm so boring (always going for the traditional solid color). I think I'm going to change it up next time–Love this look!

Stopping in from SITS Sharefest. Hope you're enjoying the weekend 🙂
