Raise your hand if your skin struggles to make the transition from winter to spring! *Immediately raises hand.* I’m from Florida, so to say that my skin isn’t fond of season change is a gross understatement. Even though we’re well into April, spring can look an awful lot like winter in Missouri. Typical Columbia weather starts off in the 20s and then jumps up to the 70s by the end of the day. Understandably so, my skin has been dry, pale, and needlessly dull for the past few months, and I’ve been in desperate need of some gentle products to give my skin some semblance of a natural glow. I read that the Olay Cleansing Infusions were both non-stripping and ultra-hydrating, so I decided to give the line a try. Keep reading for a full Olay Cleansing Infusions review!
The Olay Cleansing Infusions line is the first Olay cleansing solution for both the face and body. These non-stripping cleansers contain biorenewing hydrators, which have been clinically proven to enhance skin’s radiance after just one use and improve skin radiance by hydrating to better reflect light, creating a natural glow. I’m a huge ginger fan, so I picked up Olay Micropolishing Cleansing Infusion Hydrating Glow Facial Cleanser with Crushed Ginger and Citrus Extract and Olay Microscrubbing Cleansing Infusion Hydrating Glow Body Wash with Crushed Ginger. Both products contain exfoliators that break down as you wash to create a micropolishing effect that leaves skin feeling smooth, looking healthy, and giving off a natural glow. They both also come in a Deep Sea Kelp with Aloe scent, too! To see these hypothetical benefits for myself, I used both Olay Cleansing Infusions products for two weeks straight and tested their efficacy with the “Tilt Test!” I’m sharing my results (with pictures!) below.
The Tilt Test: Olay Cleansing Infusions
Ever since my pageant days, I’ve relied on something called the Tilt Test for all skincare and makeup products. Being “tilt tested” involves tilting your face, legs, shoulders, and arms into the light to either reveal a natural glow or an uneven hot mess. More than anything else, you’re looking for products that look natural and give your skin a smooth, non-shiny finish and an overall warm radiance. After two weeks of use, I put Olay Cleansing Infusions through the Tilt Test, and sure enough, it finally revealed the natural spring glow that’s been hiding for months!
Moving beyond how my skin looks, I absolutely love how Olay Cleansing Infusions make my skin feel, especially since nothing has worked this well for me in quite some time. The Hydrating Glow Facial Cleanser leaves my sensitive, oily combination skin feeling clean and refreshed without any redness or irritation. Plus, it smells heavenly. Similarly, the Hydrating Glow Body Wash has an energizing smell and a satisfying exfoliating texture. A little bit goes a long way with both products, which I always appreciate.
To put Olay Cleansing Infusions through the Tilt Test for yourself, you can purchase these products online here! As icing on the cake, you absolutely can’t beat these prices. The facial cleanser is $7.49, and the body wash is $5.74. Big fan!
As much as I love ginger, I’ll be testing out the Olay Cleansing Infusions Deep Sea Kelp and Aloe Extract formula next. I’m so curious to see if it works as well for my skin! If you’ve given either product a try, I’d love to know your thoughts in the comments!
