Old Navy Try-On Haul: Best of Spring 2019 by Stephanie Ziajka from the popular affordable fashion blog Diary of a Debutante, Old Navy Spring 2019 Try-On Haul, Spring Try-On Haul

After going through all your feedback from my Reader Feedback Survey (thank you again to everyone who took it!), I noticed that many of you really enjoy try-on hauls! I do them all the time at home, but I’ve never thought to actually post photos on my blog before. So, here goes! In today’s post, I’m sharing all of my top (pre-steamed) spring style picks from Old Navy. I’m planning on making another run in the next few days, so I’ll be sure to update this page with more items as I find them. In the meantime, here are 8 pieces I absolutely cannot wait to wear this coming spring. Oh and please ignore the mess of an office behind me– it’s a work in progress!

[UPDATED 4/2/19!]

1. Old Navy Pull-On Anytime Chinos, $39.99

I always thought I wasn’t cool enough to wear chino pants, but I honestly don’t care with these. They’re so darn comfy, y’all, and I absolutely love this pretty blush color. Plus, they’re shockingly versatile. I’ll actually be publishing a post in a few days showing how to dress these up for work, so keep an eye out! For reference, I’m wearing a Size 0.

2-3. Old Navy White Denim Shorts with 3-Inch Inseam, $24.99 and Old Navy Sleeveless Tie-Hem Top, $26.99

I turned 30 a couple months ago, so I’m starting to feel awkward in Daisy Duke-length jean shorts, which unfortunately describes virtually every pair in my closet. So, I wanted some more conservative white denim shorts– preferably ones that don’t look like mom jeans, and these fit the bill nicely. I’m also elated that they sell this length/style in dozens of other cute spring colors. I will say, though, to make sure you get the 3-inch inseam because these they also sell 5-inch inseam shorts, and they’re a little too matronly for my taste. For reference, I’m wearing a Size 2.

Also, how cute is this sleeveless tie-hem top? I love the light blue stripe print, and I love that the tie-hem doesn’t actually show any of my stomach. Honestly, I can see myself getting a lot of wear out of this top over the next 6 months, and I’m a big fan. For reference, I’m wearing a Small.

4. Old Navy Chambray Shirt Dress, $36.99

I was on the fence about this chambray shirt dress at first, but it’s grown on me. It’s not form-fitting in the slightest, and it definitely needs a belt to help define the waist. That being said, it also gives me serious Draper James/Reese Witherspoon vibes for a fraction of the cost, and I’m on board. For reference, I’m wearing an XS.

5. Old Navy Twill Every Day Shorts with 3 1/2-Inch Inseam, $24.99

Okay, these twill shorts… I’m obsessed. The blue stripes are perfect for spring and summer, and they look super cute paired with a polo or relaxed oxford. These are a similar style to the white denim shorts, but they’re much lighter and they’ve got a 3 1/2-inch inseam. I’ve also got my eye on the lilac and khaki colors, too. For reference, I’m wearing a Size 2.

6. Old Navy Striped Twill Button-Front Shirt, $28 (on sale!)

This is probably my favorite spring find from Old Navy so far. For reference, I’m wearing an XS, and the fit is relaxed and flattering. It’s not a formal outfit post, but you can see this top, which is also available in a pretty lilac stripe, styled with white skinny jeans here.

7. Old Navy Pink Stripe Crew-Neck Sweater, $28 (on sale!)

I absolutely love this comfy crewneck, especially for Valentine’s and Galentine’s festivities. For reference, I’m wearing a small, and the fit is snug without feeling too tight. See it styled with white skinny jeans here!

8. Old Navy Tie-Belt Ruffle-Trim Shirt Dress, $24 (on sale!)

This shirt dress needs a good deal of steaming, so don’t let this photo fool you. It’s absolutely adorable in person, and I love the ruffle detail on the shoulders. My only real complaint is that there’s a built-in slip that makes it difficult to get in and out of. Other than that, I’m very happy with this purchase. For reference, I’m wearing an XS, and I would say it’s too big, but the tie-belt helps with the fitting quite a bit.

9. Old Navy Relaxed French-Terry Tee, $20 (on sale!)

This french-terry tee is cozy, cozy, cozy and feels like a pajama top! The pink stripe is perfect for spring, and I love the cuff detail on the sleeves. The fit is oversized yet flattering, and the french terry material is great for days when the weather can’t decide between winter and spring. For reference, I’m wearing a small. Oh, and this tee is also available in lavender stripe and gray stripe, both of which are on my shopping list.

10. Old Navy Relaxed Plush-Knit Tee, $8 (on sale!)

I can’t see myself finding a comfier long sleeve tee for $8. This top is super soft with a relaxed fit and is also available in a handful of other colors. For reference, I’m wearing a small.

11. Old Navy Waist-Defined Flutter-Sleeve Dress, $28 (on sale!)

Again, don’t let the wrinkles deter you. This flutter-sleeve dress is feminine and flirty and would make a perfect spring wedding outfit. I love the elastic waist, which slims my figure considerably, and I love the lightweight fabric, which could be worn well into summer. My favorite thing about it, though, is the color– I’m a big fan of Old Navy’s Lupine Lilac and see myself buying many more items in this color. For reference, I’m wearing an XS.

12. Old Navy Printed Button-Front Shirt, $20 (on sale!)

This is the same style top as the Striped Twill Button-Front shirt, just with a little heavier fabric, which is why I sized up. I love the red dots and can’t wait to wear this with red pants or a cute red skirt in the coming months. For reference, I’m wearing a small.

13. Old Navy Relaxed Mariner-Stripe Tee, $10 (on sale!)

The Mariner-Stripe Tee gives me serious Maine vibes, which is probably why it went in my shopping basket first. The price point is great, the fabric is breathable (with vented sides!), and I love the boat neck neckline. I’ll definitely be grabbing this tee in other colors, assuming they’re still in stock. For reference, I’m wearing an XS.
