I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, I take the term “nerd” as a compliment. Excuse me for liking math and knowing how to program computers. You know what I hear when someone throws around the “nerd” term? A 6-figure salary, that’s what. All jokes aside, I do embrace my geekiness with open arms. Aside from the fact that I like Star Wars and can beat anybody in any game on the Nintendo 64 console, my quirky qualities are relatively mild. I do, however, love dressing the part. In my ostentatious industry, you’re judged so heavily upon what you wear. Since I am a young female, the trendier I dress, the less likely I am to be taken seriously on a first impression. For that very reason, my go-to work outfit is conservative and classic, while still adding pops of color and flare where appropriate. This example of young professional office attire is neutral and non-offensive, yet it features one of my favorite winter colors in this insanely cozy J. Crew mint waffle sweater and adds a bold touch of animal print with LC Lauren Conrad leopard heels. Check out full outfit details at the bottom of this post.
Oh, and this adorable J. Crew Factory Shirttail Mini Skirt has become an integral staple in my professional fall/winter wardrobe. Although it’s labeled as a mini skirt, it’s length is more than appropriate for the office. Call me charge-happy, but I actually have it in 3 versatile colors (stone, navy, and emerald). Not ashamed. Love.

Love how you added the leopard shoe with this outfit. Isn't star wars awesome. I just a few star wars shirts and earring.
Gorgeous outfit!! Those heels are an exciting twist 🙂
You look striking! 🙂 Who cares about those who will say being a nerd is considered insulting? I think nerds are amazing and I find it as a compliment as well…. So is being called a geek haha.
