I know winter’s almost over, but it’s currently 8 degrees in Columbia right now, so I figured it’s probably safe to assume most of us are still in the thick of the frozenness. Honestly, I just got super behind during the holidays, and I’ve been meaning to post this try-on haul for a while now. So, I’m sorry it’s a little tardy, but I’m rounding up all of my favorite cozy Amazon winter style picks under $50 in today’s post (better late than never, right?)! I also realize the weather will start warming up soon, so I’m including some cute winter-to-spring transitional pieces I’ve found, as well. Keep reading for the full Amazon winter try-on haul– and check back in a few days for some new additions! [Updated 3/16/2020]
1. Cozy Fleece Pullover
I own this fleece pullover in 2 colors (see the pink styled here) and can’t recommend it highly enough! It’s warm, washes well, and looks just like the Abercrombie version that sells for triple the price. For reference, I’m wearing a Small, and it fits perfectly- with lots of room to layer underneath if needed.
2. Silky PJ Set
I now own this silky PJ set in 2 patterns (pink stripe and green stripe), and I’d honestly pay double the price if I needed to. They’re that comfy– and I love that I can wear them year-round (they’re not too warm in the summer and not too cold in the winter). They’re also under $25 and come in over a dozen different colors/patterns. For reference, I’m wearing an XS.
3. Oversized Leopard Pullover
This oversized leopard pullover has rave reviews on Amazon (over a 4.5-star rating with 700+ reviews), so I ordered it to see what the fuss was about. I do really like it– and I’m happy I bought it, but it’s awkwardly long (like, long enough to wear as a very short dress). It’s surprisingly warm, though, and I do love the oversized fit. I’m not sure I’ll order a 2nd one, though (it comes in over a dozen colors). For reference, I’m wearing a Small, and this is the White color.
4. Pom Pom Sweater
Okay, this white pom pom sweater may be the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. It looks and feel so much more expensive than it is, and I really love the lantern sleeves. It looks cute with jeans for casual occasions and skirts for work and dressier occasions (see it styled here). For reference, I’m wearing a 4/6, and it’s a little short (I’ve got a longer torso, though), but I absolutely love it and plan on ordering one in blush, as well.
5. High-Waisted Jacquard Crop Leggings
These jacquard crop leggings have sub-par reviews (granted, there’ve only been 4), and I have no idea why. They’re adorable and super soft! I’m not sure I’d work out in them, but they’re not see-through like some of the reviews say, and they’re one of the cutest pairs of leggings I own. For reference, I’m wearing a Small in the Latte Leopard Jacquard print.
6. Striped Pencil Dress
I’ve gotta be honest– this striped pencil dress is one of the most flattering horizontally-striped garments I’ve ever seen. Whatever’s going on at the waist is ultra slimming, and the material is crazy soft– almost like a light cotton. When I say “light,” though, I mean it’s light. I’ll need to wear Spanx underneath it (both my bra line and panty line were visible when I tried it on), but it’s too cute and, more importantly, flattering to send back. It’ll be perfect for meetings and/or spring weddings, too. For reference, I’m wearing a Small, and this is the Pink color.
7. Relaxed V-Neck Sweater
I ordered this v-neck sweater because it looked like a good winter basic– and because I liked the oversized fit. It’s not super warm, so it can’t be worn on freezing cold days, but it’s incredibly soft, and I love the length (some reviewers have said it looks boxy, but I’ve got a longer torso and didn’t have that problem). I also like that it be worn like a traditional v-neck or off-shoulder. So, yeah, y’all.. big fan, and I’ll be ordering in more colors if/when my size is restocked! For reference, I’m wearing a Small, and this is the Light Heather Blue color.
8. Teddy Bear Fleece Quarter Zip Jacket
This teddy bear fleece pullover from Daily Ritual is one of my most frequently worn winter staples. I own it in both ivory and black and ended up ordering the zip jacket version in Dusty Rose, too. It’s mid-weight, so it’s not incredibly heavy but is significantly more warm than the previous fleece pullover (#1 on this list). My only criticism is that the pockets can be hard to zip every once in a while. Other than that, though, it’s perfect, and you absolutely will not regret buying one. For reference, I’m wearing a small.
9. Batwing Sleeve Pullover Sweater
I ordered this pink batwing sleeve pullover after seeing its reviews (over 4.5 stars with 1,000+ ratings). I honestly wasn’t expecting a giant line running down the middle, but that didn’t bother me so much– and, to be fair, it is in the product photo. It’s also pretty darn cozy, especially for a $25 sweater. My biggest qualm, though, is its length. I have a relatively long torso, and this pullover just felt short on me. It also rides up pretty easily, which is unfortunate for women like me who don’t like showing their stomachs.
Overall, I do like it– probably not enough to keep, though, based on the length. That being said, if you’ve got a shorter torso, this pullover would look amazing on you! The batwing sleeves are fun and stylish, and the fabric itself drapes really nicely. It comes in 17 different colors, too (I’m wearing the pink)!
I’ll be uploading about 20 more pieces within the next day or so, so check back for updates! Thanks for reading my Amazon winter try-on haul, y’all!
Love these finds. Always appreciate your honest reviews.
