Want to give your favorite holiday hostess a gift that she’ll actually use? Create your own Christmas morning mimosa gift basket! With a zillion things going on around the holidays, breakfast cocktails will be one less thing she has to think about. Plus, this festive prosecco gift basket is shockingly affordable, and you can customize yours to be as lush or as basic as you like. Just add prosecco, fresh juice, and some fresh fruit– the rest is totally up to you!
Unless you go the ultra premium route, this project shouldn’t cost you more than $50. I used some stray decorations from around the house, and mine cost me less than $30. Here’s everything you’ll need:
- 1 bottle of Cavit Prosecco
- 1-2 carafes of fresh juice (orange, cranberry, pomegranate, etc)
- Champagne flutes
- Fresh fruit
- Beverage tub
- Crinkle paper and bubble wrap
- Seasonal decor and gift tag (optional)
This year, I’ve been gifting bottles of Cavit Prosecco, the newest addition to the popular Cavit Wine Collection, left and right. Not only is Cavit America’s #1 selling Italian wine brand, their sparkling wines are sophisticated, beautifully packaged (I absolutely love the rose gold label!), and very reasonably priced.
Next, fill 1-2 glass or plastic carafes with fresh juice. Around Christmastime, orange, cranberry, and pomegranate juice are ideal candidates. To let the recipient know which juice is which, either add labels or clarify with fresh fruit.
Also, aside from the prosecco itself, the May Your Holidays Bubble Up with Joy print/unofficial gift tag may be my favorite little inclusion. I whipped up the file in Photoshop (you can download it here) and framed it with a cheap gold frame. It looks great and serves as a sturdy back for the basket!
Also, to avoid any broken glass, I highly recommend using disposable flutes. Not only does this keep your cost down, it also keeps the gift basket’s weight down, too.
To take your mimosa gift basket to the next level, add in an extra bottle of Cavit Prosecco, some chocolate, cheese, crackers, or wine charms. Seriously, the sky’s the limit. Once you’ve grabbed everything you need, rearrange it all in a medium-to-large beverage tub. Use festive picks from craft stores, crinkle paper, and bubble wrap to fill any extra space in the tub. Finally, drop it off on his or her doorstep. It’ll be the sweetest and most unexpected holiday surprise!
This prosecco gift basket is so cute, right? Something about Christmas just brings out the Martha Stewart (wannabe) in me. That being said, if you loved this DIY mimosa gift basket, you’ll love this DIY pineapple champagne bottle, too! Cheers, y’all!
I love the beverage Champaign tub with the goodies!
Where can I purchase the white tub with the green lead design?
Thank you,
Linda
Hi Linda! It’s from Target, but I got it a few years ago, so I can’t find a direct link online anywhere. Sorry about that!
Where did you get the carafes?
Target! I can’t find the exact ones online, but these look very similar: https://amzn.to/41b8SHr (affiliate link). Ikea sells a similar style, too!
Hope that helps!
