If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably seen quite a lot of this dude. His name is Kyle, and he’s my boyfriend, travel buddy, man candy, and face behind the camera. At 6’3″ with blonde hair and ridiculously pretty green eyes, this former swimmer and never-was-but-probably-could’ve-been potential football stud deserves only the best men’s personal care products. To say he appreciates a good deal is an understatement– I get scolded every time I want to order fajitas on a non-BOGO night, so the thought of paying more than $10 for everyday grooming solutions doesn’t sit well. Now that fall is in full swing, the weather is changing and grooming habits need an upgrade, so if you’re in search of recommendations for you or your significant other, here are four of Kyle’s favorite drugstore products for men this fall:

Starting with #1, Dove Men+Care Body Wash is an awesome, noncomedogenic, and hypoallergenic body wash line that uses unique MICROMOISTURE technology, which activates on lathering, helping to lock in skin’s natural moisture and leaving skin feeling hydrated. Kyle’s (and my) favorite is Clean Comfort, which smells like a more masculine version of fresh linens.

Moving on to #2, Suave Men Ocean Charge 2 in 1 Shampoo and Conditioner is great because it’s designed for the specific needs of men’s hair and cleans and conditions hair in one step. Plus, at $2.65 a bottle from Walmart, it’s been salon-proven to clean hair as well as American Crew® Moisturizing Shampoo– heyo!

I’d like to briefly address this new fad where guys don’t like to wear deodorant. Stop it, please. Now. Please. No smell is less offensive than your BO, which leads me to Kyle’s next “best drugstore products for men” recommendation– Degree Men Adventure Deodorant offers 24-hour odor protection for your daily adventures, which all y’all need, with a rugged, woodsy scent blended with citrus and a hint of musk. 

Also, everybody needs a good moisturizer, and Kyle likes Vaseline Men Healing Moisture Fast Absorbing Body and Face Lotion. I’ll admit that since we’ve been in Maine, this is quickly becoming one of my favorite drugstore products for men, too, since it’s effective and cheaper than most women’s lotions. It’s the perfect defense against dry skin, especially during these colder months, and it’s formulated to relieve irritation with non-greasy moisture that absorbs in just 15 seconds and heals dryness for 3 weeks. 

And last but not least, Kyle likes his Storm Trooper socks, so I promised I’d include them somewhere in this post.
